During 2017-2018 Louise Young travelled to Fern Verrow every month. Each visit we walked the land and selected a fruit or vegetable that was in it's prime and represented the season perfectly.
Louise started by sketching life size drawings and then painting them in watercolours on heavy 640 gsm Saunders Waterford hot press paper. Each one took a month and some took longer. The paintings are not botanical illustrations of ideal specimens, but they are portraits of the plants in all their glory.
We have reproduced the paintings as a boxed set of cards on 400gsm silk board with a smooth lamination.
Each box contains six A5 cards and envelopes.
