Invites conscientious, motivated individuals…

two paid positions are available for the season 2018 commencing in April.


For the past twenty one years we have run our 16 acre certified Biodynamic farm situated on the Welsh/ Herefordshire borders, at the foothills of The Black Mountains. We grow a wide range of seasonal vegetables, fruit and flowers. This year will be our fourth season working closely with chef Skye Gyngell, growing specifically for her restaurant Spring


We offer an opportunity to work alongside us, and the chance to develop the skills needed to produce food on a commercial scale, and to gain a good knowledge of what is involved in the running of a small, diverse biodynamic farm. The work will mainly involve the production of fruit, vegetables and flowers for sale; this will include the sowing of seeds, planting, weeding and cultivation right through to harvesting. There will be some involvement with our animals, which will generally be feeding them, and attending to their welfare.


Applicants must have a serious approach to the growing of food, and be willing to work hard to achieve the high standards that are required for our customers.

We require our workers to be sincerely interested in being part of a small business that is driven to produce the highest quality food, in its taste, nutrition and integrity.


We are looking for people with enthusiasm, have good physical fitness, an interest in food and cooking, and someone who takes pride in their work. Some professional growing experience or formal garden training is essential, and applicants must have some years of having worked for their living in any form of employment.


All applicants must be eligible to work in the UK.

At present we can provide accommodation in static caravans, with self catering facilities. You are not required to share a caravan with anyone. Workers share their own bathroom; have use of a clothes washing machine and internet connection. Workers are also able to have some food that is grown on the farm. The average working week is fifty hours. As with most beautiful locations we are quite cut off from transport links and shops, so your own transport would be an advantage to you. However there is access to public transport.

Volunteer Placements

We also offer  voluntary placements from four to eight week periods throughout the season.
This opportunity would suit someone wishing to gain a taste of growing food, and for students to gain some work experience. Applicants must be over 18 years old.
