We are off to plant Squash in the rain today, as this is done by hand it is something we can do in the wet, and the wetness of the soil means we do not have to irrigate them for sometime. If anyone has any influence we would like another fortnight of dry weather next week, so that we can plant again. Cabbages, and the like have all germinated well in their seed trays in the greenhouse. The potatoes planted two weeks ago are beginning to show.
This week we have some more of Model Farms spring lamb for sale. The first of the outdoor lettuce and endive. Lots of beautiful flowers again. Fresh onions too, and a wealth of top-notch herbs. If the rain holds off tomorrow we will have a few strawberries too, very few this week but hopefully plenty to come.
