Just a quick note this week, as we are full on with land cultivation and sowing and machinery breakdown. Much has been done and we are hoping to plant new potatoes and onions early next week. With the warm temperatures germination in our propogation greenhouse is good, so we are off to a good start, albeit a rather frenzied one.
We will be at the Arch this week as usual. We will have some lovely large chickens for sale and the first of this seasons rhubarb. Salad bags too as well as the very last pick of red russian kale. Eggs are plentiful, with our new hens starting to lay well. Spotted a fox in our bottom field the other night, so the dogs are on the look out, and a good chase. All the creatures around us domestic and wild are all preparing to raise young, pigs are due to farrow, lambs due next week and all the birds with only one thing on their mind. Spring has truly arrived.
See you on Saturday
